not that he really matters at this point but he isn't in the lineup anyway. They're going with Solano today at 1b
let’s go boys! It’s almost the mega death lineup. Just need Urquidy to give us 5 scoreless and bat like hell
Time for Chas to join the party. Brantley in LF is great news moving forward Remember Urquidy didn't get to pitch at any meaningful point in last years WS run. His lone appearance was for trash outs at the end of game 3 vs Phil. He has plenty of motivation to pitch well and on this meaningful stage.
Like Urquidy getting the nod. He was nails against Arizona in that tough spot. I also like the line up except I'd like to see Dubon instead of Chaz but I'm pulling for Chaz. I always do the chomp at the games. He's just been poor lately.
Good. Put him on base. Tucker likely will be going off one of these next few games. Chas seems to do better with a touch of rest. Pena in playoff mode.
Major League Baseball has announced that it approved a roster substitution for the Minnesota Twins and it's a big one. All-Star designated hitter Byron Buxton has been activated with first baseman Alex Kirilloff being removed ahead of Wednesday's ALDS Game 4
I have the exact opposite opinion. Chas tends to have "long" slumps when he's not playing much or playing 2 out of every three games, but goes bonkers when he plays everyday or near everyday. Maybe having 4 days off, playing 2 games, and then having 2 days off if the perfect amount of games for Chas, but Dusty should be trying that for other positions as well considering Dubon can play IF as well.
Maybe? Chas hit his OPS peak on 8/21... and has seen a slow decline since (that went rapid towards the end of September). Is he being pitched to differently? Is it just water finding its level given that nobody expected him to be a +.900 OPS guy? Is it just a mini-slump that he may bust out of any day now? Is he nursing an injury that nobody is saying out loud? I'm all for Chas being in there everyday... and was very happy he was there in game 1. Dubon wasn't bad yesterday, and hasn't been bad when given chances as of late, but I'd much rather have Chas' bat as much as possible.
I love Chas and my everyday cf but Dubon has been playing well. He's actually made himself worthy of a start if its over Chas, so I can't be too disappointed over it he gets a spot start. If a day off helps kick start Chas again, then lets party Mauricio Dubon last 30 games: .338 avg, .949 OPS Chas McCormick last 30 games: .243 avg, .669 OPS Dubon had a .919 OPS in August and a .861 OPS in September. Chas had a .822 OPS in August and a .739 OPS in September. It's a blessing that the alternative isn't Jake Meyers
