Has this ump been this bad all game? Just started watching in the 6th. Also, kind wish the Stros had a killer instinct. There are some mashable balls being put over the plate and its just lazy swings into grounders. This opinion from a humble average baseball intelligent fan.
Abreu in the 7th is interesting. Maybe just because he had him warming up for Brown and this is the top of the order? Who goes in the 8th?
TIL hitting grounders is from a lack of killer instinct, and nothing to do with spin rate, line of vision, the plane on which the ball is traveling, etc. With that being said, an 8 pitch inning in that situation was abysmal plate approach by the Astros.
