The issue though is the other 18 defendants are contemplating the strength of the case as well as Trumps ability to win. If he can win, then this case can essentially be put on hold indefinitely if not dismissed. Does that mean that they can be tried separate from Trump… possibly but that would require team Willis to try them all separately which they don’t seem to want to do. So if you are a co-defendant, Trump winning in 2024 is a real thing that’s causing you to pause on taking a plea deal. If Bidens polls shoot up my guess is that’s when you’ll see them start to plead guilty. IMO loyalty has little to do with it and all of these people got in bed with Trump because of self interest and narcissism. Sidney Powell was a nobody. Rudy Gulianni was an alcoholic opining on his glory days, Jeff Clark was a nobody at DOJ suddenly with the opportunity to be AG, etc etc. These are all self interested grifters. Yes a lot of them also drink the Kool Aid too but in the end it’s about the fame, power, and money. None of these idiots are truly loyal to Trump. They just literally think he’s their best chance at both staying out of jail and also giving them a chance at real power if he takes office again. If Trump takes power again, every one of these co-defendants will be thrust into high ranking positions in his admin.
