Tough, especially since he said the Thunder told him they would use him better than the Rockets, etc.

I mean they did. They waived him a lot sooner.

Do the Rox have space? I mean if they never intended to waive these guys if they weren't making space for the Lopez the Rox should look into getting them back imo.

Do the Rockets have the minutes that they can give to more players for development?

Usman is playing good for the Spanish national team playing mostly PF on their World cup pre-tournament games. He will be above average role player on a playoff team if given minutes and utilize correctly by the coach. Scrappy, has nose for the ball, good setter and passer for his team.

Why do you feel a need to develop players? I mean cool if you can devote time to develop them but as NBA professionals it's their own responsibility to develop themselves.

They should be signed for cheap role player role as players who are already somewhat familiar with the system. Like if Darius Days and Aaron Holiday can be signed why not Garuba and Tyty? I think Garuba has a lot of untapped upside and I Def think he is better than Days.

The Rockets will be developing Amen next year. If you disagree, perhaps you and I have a different definition of the word "develop".

I see an NBA rotational player in Garuba, at least the potential. Garuba needs to find a team that will give him playing time.

I guess I should have qualified my comments I meant why should Rox develop rotational role players?

Garuba can develop on his own pace or hire his own dev team with his million dollars salary. Rox can sign him so he can be a guy on the bench if needed like Darius Days.

There is no market for a guy who is just an undersized defender. Like an anti flavor of the month.

Chuck Hayes barely made the NBA if the Rockets had not given him a chance.

Now more so than in the past.

That is precisely why Draymond with his playmaking is 1 in a 1000 or 10000.

Good thing Usman sounds foreign/exotic and worked with Real Madrid and Spanish NT, otherwise he would be undrafted.

To bad the Rockets didn't keep him, just for his name only.
