No. I'm enjoying this process too much. This is the most fun I've had as a rockets fan since the Tmac/Yao days.

The Harden years were unforgettable but so pressure-filled. Anything but an MVP for the beard and/or a title was considered disappointing.

I couldn't just sit back and enjoy basketball.

But watching the young kids we have now and seeing them grow? Too special for me, even if we never win a ring with them.

Embiid should have 2-3 years left of solid play. Hakeem, Dirk, Kareem, Ewing, Robinson, were either All Stars, MVPs, or winning rings at age 32. Embiid is same age as VanVleet. Would we rather VanVleet get his contract money, or MVP Embiid?

That said, Embiid comes with low floor risks. Never expect good playoffs. Every one of his stats gets worse in playoffs. Never expect 69 games a season. He's never done it. Even though he's trending healthier, he can be as close to wheels coming off like Demarcus Cousins than staying healthy.

I would NOT deal Sengun, Jalen, Jabari, Amen. Everyone else, it depends. A deal of FVV, KPJ, Eason, + a pick, as far as I'd go. (If it was say, FVV & Jalen, I could stomach KPJ as the 2. But Eason or the pick gets removed)

Yes if it was like Brooks KPJ for Embiid

But we know what it would be is a complete destruction of our rebuild that would get us to the playoffs but no further & a disappearance of many of our assets. Then we are hoping to hit on a low draft pick to help Embiid as FVV just isn't good enough to be the 2nd guy

To have a chance of winning a championship it's better to continue on our current path, which is a lot more of the unknown. Might not succeed but the Embiid path imo definitely won't.

Can't say the last three years have not been tough, but I am optimistic about our 7 young guys so "no". Let's give it another year or two.

I would trade for Embiid, however I wouldn't be willing to give up the farm. Embiid is going to turn 30 very soon and didn't have the best track record of health to start with. A deal in my mind would look something like Sengun, Porter Jr, Brooks, 1st round pick and a swap.

I am willing to reluctantly give up KayPeeJay and Dandelion Brooks for Joe-EL & Beads.

Joel looks like he wants to win it all this season.

Maybe he can talk the refs into giving him a title like he talked the media into giving him an MVP award
