To me TyTy would not be as far down on the bench on the Rockets as most are claiming because KPJ is going to struggle with some of the tough love and benching he's already going to have now that FVV took the starting job , Green is the obvious start at SG and he's not sliding to 3 with Brooks and that $80 million contract. He's a bench player now. When he finally snaps, they are going to drop the remainder of that contract like a sack of potatoes and TyTy will be there to pick up those minutes.

I was about to post this. It's even better because apparently OKC told him that and then just said, "you know what? We changed our minds even before the first pre-season game." Damn, that's cold. This league is ruthless.

ROCKETS working up a 4 year $60 Million contract for TyTy and a 3 year $45 Million for Garuba as we speak. Got to out bid the rest of the league and fast.

 

It boggles the mind that a mid-tier team like the Thunder with an acknowledged top GM don't see the value of future superstars TyTy and Usman.

Stop pining to bring the garbage back in and pay attention to the Thunder roster.

They still have 18 contracted guys (plus 3 two ways) which they need to trim to 15 by the end of pre-season. It could be interesting to see who shakes loose there

 

Maybe they decided to cut him after watching him play for Spain.

 

Players really need to learn not to say stuff that could be taken negatively by any team out there. You just never know when you might need a team to sign you and you might have unintentionally shut that door behind you.
