Hopefully it's not serious -- although with his athleticism, he's still a lob threat and rim protector on just one competent ankle.

Offer Cleveland Porter and Tate for Allen.

    They've been shopping him.

    Big rotation solved.

Allen would be a decent backup.

But of all the 29 teams who do not want KPJ, Cleveland is the one that wants him least, because they already know him.

Hope he won’t miss pre-season. If he does we have to go shopping. We just need a 10 minute journeyman that can play defense and rebound. Who might that be?

Assuming only one of them can start, he's a backup to about 4 centers in the NBA: Jokic, Sengun, Embiid and Sabonis.

And probably Mitchell Robinson, I think Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen still call him daddy after how he destroyed them in the playoffs last year. The stats might not show it, but I remember watching the games, and they just didn't know what to do.

Mitchell Robinson stinks. he's a true backup center trying to play a starter role

Yeah, but in that series, Allen and Mobley were weirdly helpless. Might not only have been Robinson, but it was weird. That performance might be part of the reason they are shopping Allen in the first place (if that's the case).

i haven't seen anything credible that Cavs are shopping Allen. Teams may be wanting to trade for him clearly bc hes a good player but its not the Cavs who are dangling him.

We could be into October before he's feeling back to decent after that.
