Yeah, we were really something to behold. Les charged Daryl with the seemingly impossible task of reloading on the run (no rebuild), AND, tailor them to beat one of the greatest teams of all time. (utilizing his philosophy). And, DM did it.
There is no way 20 players plus in league should make more money than harden, that's the disrespect everyone is giving him..if Fvv gets a max, cam Johnson, more to name .harden doesn't deserve anything less,
Always get it in writing or you run the risk of he said she said. Deny, deny, deny comes into play. How do you know a lawyer, politician or GM is lying? Their lips are moving. ______________ Reminds me of the joke: what do you call 1000 Lawyers (politicians, GM's) under the sea? A good start
Whether Morey "stiffed" him is a silly debate. Harden has to know that it's the owner that makes the final call. Fact is you can't give a guy in such obvious decline a max contract. A handshake on hundreds of millions of dollars is silly. Harden has to perform, and he didn't. It's like getting engaged but then you talk about marry another girl, then get rejected while gaining 40lbs and then get upset because the first girl breaks off the engagement.
Meh. The problem is James Harden played pretty well last season. 21 points on .6+ TS%, led the league in assists, helped make Embiid MPV, etc. He played the role the Sixers needed well. I’m not saying Morey doesn’t have the right to back out of a “handshake” deal. But it could be a massive misfire as Embiid is obviously not happy about the situation, and other players may start doubting Morey.
There is no way 20 players plus in league should make more money than harden, that's the disrespect everyone is giving him..if Fvv gets a max, cam Johnson, more to name .harden doesn't deserve anything less, Harden had way better season than what Morey expected, Harden gets the blame for game 6-7 but they won 3 games cause of harden, Embiid the MVP was supposed to win u 1 game and he couldn't Embiid himself been bad in big games thruout his career as well.. without harden they was swept by Boston . There was reports Morey telling harden he was gonna build a team in Houston then resign to be with family but to immediately sign with the sixers, so if harden was told to do team friendly and he played well and Morey backed out .that's all Morey, he put Houston in bad spot when he left and now he's blowing up sixers, wouldn't be surprised if Joel asks for trade soon, harden opted in cause Morey told him he was gonna be traded to clippers and then he didn't , ppl saying harden opted in cause of market value, nah he couldn't outright go to clippers unless minimum cause of cap, harden absolutely deserves cap if u look at the other players that make that much money, he is best offense run pg in the league
Harden would have gotten 50 million per year from Houston if Udoka was not the coach....so would not be so enraged....
It's not about how much Harden wants, it's how long. If it was a 1+1 Morey would pay him any max he wanted, but it seems like he wants 4 years at the age of 34. He has declined for 2 seasons physically, no team wants to gamble their future in a 37,38 year old Harden
That I agreed but I think we can both agree harden is better that Chris Paul at the stage of their late 34 plus
wait, are we the other girl? That’s an interesting angle, actually. So Morey’s throwing a b****fit coz Harden looked our way?
Players, gm's and agents lie all the time lest we forget the Carlos Boozer saga. And didn't we just trade away a whole host of players thinking we had Brooks Lopez bagged. Harden just needs to be a professional and play out his contract.
Chris Paul is more than 4 years older than Harden. Even then he’s a better leader/ mentor/ professional and not a distraction or a turnover merchant. 34 year old Chris Paul led a team projected to finish last in the league to the playoffs. A year later he led a 4th team to their franchise best record and made the Finals. Meanwhile Harden eating all the burgers and calling people liars.
Harden is the scorer but there is more to Chris Paul than meets the eye. He is like a coach still playing and a fabulous mentor to kids. Just because JH scores more points, does not make this point a clear point.
