Nah - no downside to saying it. It will make Tucker feel wanted, keeps fans happy and teammates -------- and if Tucker leaves in 2.3 years, then he can say they tried. He shouldn't get fired based on Tucker, he does not control the finances.
I am apprehensive about comparisons because some many different things can happen - and winning a WS, not to mention at least winning two WS and going to 4 WS is an incredible accomplishment - but yeah, the Orioles are the closest thing I have seen to the Astros and Braves. Heston Kjerstad is going to be an elite bat for them as well... only injuries can keep him from putting up crooked numbers.
Do they have the veteran pitching? Or will they trade for it? I dunno. I do like their chances going forward, until their Owners **** it all up.
The Orioles are far ahead of where the 15/16 Astros were. That’s not a good comparison. Look at the records. Last year’s oriole team was like the ‘15 Astros. The Astros in ‘15 were barely .500. This Oriole team is more like the ‘17 Astros but without adding an ace at the deadline.

I admit I turned the game off when it got to 6-2. But I was low key following on the MLB app (like I always do when I turn the game off). When we got to the 9th and I saw that Singleton drew that leadoff walk, something in my mind told me to go turn the game back on. True story.
I was watching but I guess I went back and watched a replay or something in the 8th because just before Tuck slammed it I started getting text messages about the homer. I was like WTF I am 2 pitches behind.
If that had been a playoff game, it would have instantly been one of the greatest games in franchise history.
Based on record and division, the Orioles are clearly better than the 2015 Astros. The West was mediocre at best that season, while the East this season has been one of the best divisions in recent memory. Baltimore's record is light years ahead of the 2015 Astros. Chances are they won't match the dynasty of the Astros, but time will tell.
There're a lot of years I don't remember from the NL-champs-WS-losers-2005-killer-b's-up-until-2015/16 when they got the train a rollin' The East and the West have both done the Astros a #flamboozle in competition and ranking this year.
Game 3, Rangers-A's has already started today... and the Rangers didn't score Top 1st !!! Pitching matchup is the most even of the series, so we'll see
