I don't see the risk. Most of our left handed bats are hurt. I bet he can hit better than 4 or 5 of the non pitchers on our 40 man.

He hit into more hard bad luck than any deadline guy I've ever seen.

    Left-handed bat, .329, 1.146, 8HR, 33% SO (20% in his last 5 games)... worth keeping a close eye on.

Possibly my favorite sports quote ever:

"God created the sun, the stars, the heavens and the earth, and then made Adam and Eve. The Bible never says anything about dinosaurs. You can't say there were dinosaurs when you never saw them. Somebody actually saw Adam and Eve eating apples. No one ever saw a Tyrannosaurus rex

Yainer Diaz is who we wanted Meluskey to be, but instead we had to trade to get Ausmus back less than 3 seasons after trading him away...

Dusty finally gives Diaz the majority of starts, Brantley doesn’t come back. It’s bottom of the 9th ALCS vs Alriginton(we win west), DH Jon singleton walks up to Afroman and hits a bomb off the video board to send us to the World Series…. Now talk about an all time story.

I don't see how Bligh Madris deserves a spot on the 40-man ahead of him.

That pitch looked like batting practice. . .

    in a tee ball league.

Bligh Madris doesn't deserve a 40-man spot over anyone.

He can’t be any worse than Madris was but with Altuve and Yordan back, there aren’t any spots for him on the roster until/unless Julks or Meyers are traded/optioned.

If Brown doesn’t trade for a bat and the 13 position players are the same after Tuesday:

Option Julks and bring up Singleton to have an audition in Yankee Stadium.

The first 3 games should have RHSP (Schmidt, Severino, and German) so start Singleton in those 3 games.

Yordan plays LF in 2 of them and DHs the other with Abreu getting a day off.

Julks has to stay in minors at least 10 days unless someone goes on IL so if, after the series, Singleton has not impressed then DFA him and try someone else like Gilbert or Dirden.

Ideally there is a LH bat on the bench replacing Julks or Meyers.

Getting The Natural vibes. Except Singleton pimps every homerun he hits.

    Jon Singleton = Roy Hobbs
    Pop Fisher = Dusty Baker

    Holy crap that was crushed.

I think this is awesome that he's made it back to this point. Yeah, he was a fool the first time around but he's apparently grown and has a real shot if he keeps this up.

Does Singleton play left field? It wouldn’t be bad to give him a shot starting against RHP and see if he can be a Julks replacement and PH. I do think Julks has been more unlucky than bad over the last few weeks.
