Just spend a few trips consciously looking at the charging infrastructure to ease your mind--and know it will get better every month. Unless you're driving off-interstate across Wyoming or Nevada or northern Montana, you should be fine. I had the same worries but mapped out a few trips as if I had an EV. Some of the chargers I identified back then are on my list of go-to stops now and there have been a few added since that I use frequently too, including a charging station perfectly placed for many of my trips that just happens to be at a DQ--charging, bathroom break, and a dipped cone. That's perfection. Trips may take a bit more planning, but the real benefit is the 95% of daily driving, low maintenance costs, and charging at home during off-peak hours.
Keep me posted on the electric trucks...I would kill to have one (I'm not an early adopter, and am waiting to see how things go) as a basic driver and have the heavy truck for towing/hauling as needed.

This is something my wife would say lol. She cared about the look of the car rather than the dependability. And yes yes I know, it's your fun car.
8 more trees to prune, quite a workout, I no longer like nature , nice from distance but not in your backyard
Kidding. I have pretty much settled on a Sierra 1500 Denali 5.3L and at this point it’s a matter of when to buy given rates, current prices, financial situation and what options to sacrifice to reduce cost/availability. But a fraction of me still considers just buying a **** ass used truck for the purposes I need the bed for and buying a nice, but less expensive SUV or sedan.
or New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah and Colorado. Basically the West (excluding most of California) where there are long long distances between more populated towns and cities.
Now see a Tacoma owner wouldn't be doing all that, would probably be at that guy's house banging his wife during the whole ordeal.
