I know we are not supposed to like him because he is a Warrior but I have been a fan of his since his college days. The skill of shooting is the most important skill you can have and this guy may be the all time best at it.

What a GREAT documentary and an inspiring story.

    10/10 for me.

Haven't seen that film. It could be a good one. But "underrated" is one of the words I would never have associated with Steph Curry.

This is the same thing I thought. But then I thought about him going to a small school, and how they thought his brother would be better. I'm guessing that's where "Underrated" came from.

I don't think teams really knew what to make of him coming into the NBA. I remember there was no doubt he was an elite shooter, but the question was could he get his own shot off and could he play PG against elite NBA players. That question was there because he was basically a 2G in college and we are talking at a 1 bid conference.

Excellent, hall of fame, legendary player.

Not underrated. Even casual fans of basketball can hardly say two sentences about it without his name in their mouths. Kids everywhere on the playground mimic him.

Deserves rings, but maybe not four. It's hard to separate him from the Durant, Kerr, Draymond, Zaza and Bogut rule-bending turpitude and the benefit of thousands of bearhug/moving screens, and for that reason I'll always dislike him, prancing, sore winning, and glory-whoring aside. If I could somehow separate him from the Kerr Warriors, total respect is due.

His story coming out of Davidson is very cool, though as his father was in NBA circles it wasn't quite a rags-to-riches story.

    An “Underdog Story”?

Based off of genetics alone im gonna have to disagree. Stephs dad and brother both play or played in the NBA. I’m guessing he had some of the greatest odds of any person ever born to be an NBA player.

Yeah, I guess when we think about Curry NOW, he's definitely not underrated. But in his earlier years, he probably was. I mean, before GSW was good, I didn't really think much of him other than that he's Dell's son getting the shooter's gene.

He was drafted in the lottery for goodness sake.

They played a taco bell commercial when Jokic got picked.

He was offered a walk on spot at vtech. His dad was a star there. He was definitely not a highly rated prospect.

He frame is frail. Didn't he miss most of his rookie year with an ankle injury? I don't think he's been hurt since...

Jokic doesn't prance around like a fairy and get up in the cameras every time he wins a game. Has he ever even brought his daughter to a press conference? Bad player.

Curry is the exact antithesis of the phrase "act like you've been there before" while Jokic embodies it. Doesn't earn his clicks.

"Underdog" assumes he persevered through tough circumstances.

I wouldn't necessarily say he has special outlier genetics like the other poster. But, the nba is full of much better examples of underdog stories than a guy growing up with an nba dad.
