    Yeah, I'm not going to go back and forth on this with you, dude. You called him out as a terrible defender and your whole basis for the argument was a single stat. I'm not calling him a great defender or even a good one, but I'm trying to explain why the argument and the stat are flawed and used some other stats to play devil's advocate. You don't have to agree with me; that's fine. He's certainly not my "idol," but if I see someone unfairly criticize a player or incorrectly use data to criticize a player, I'm going to call it out. You did that. End of discussion.

    It is only summer league. But last Summer league and throughout the regular season, Jabari looked like a 1998 NBA LIVE animation. It was all awkward and very mechanical.

    Now Jabari looks like a natural at everything, smooth. I also liked what he said about wanting to play in SL games. Very good for the nba if all the other top Sophomores buy in too. This should be the Out season 'in season' tournament.

    Wood was even worse on defense, thats why. Jabari and Tari will be in the front court we dont need Wood. Theres only so many minutes to go around as it is.

    The Rockets are a Team. I cheer that the whole succeeds, not just the parts. With a new coach, and new talent, I expect significant progress.

    This probably isn't the thread for it, but so many comments in this one bear on it--we need to put the last few seasons to bed. Give up on pouring energy into Silas hate. The absence of coaching and development was deliberate. We didn't get Wemby for it, but we got Jalen, Jabari, Tari, Amen, and Sengun as a result. The pick positioning phase is done. We are in development and achievement phase. Congratulations for making it through the slog to get here. Enjoy the ride from here on for many years. Let go of the negative waves.

    The context you are missing is this:

    Green second worst, KPJ 7th worst among guards

    Similarly Jabari is second worst on power forwards.

    Because it is a line-up stat. It doesn't tell you who was particularly responsible for that overall rating. In our case the starting five were all bad defenders with a horrible coach. You can point to many shortcomings of sengun defensively and you would be right, but that stat doesn't say he was a bad (or worst defender). This year, with a better coach and better defensive players, individual defense will be much easier to evaluate.

    There is no blaming others. You just can’t comprehend what you read.

    I guess you’ll be shocked when all of our terrible defenders miraculously have much better defensive ratings this year. Or probably you will not because you have no idea what that means anyway.
