Nah Andersons is worse since he signed for 18M like a decade ago. If you account for inflation that would be like 25-30M today.

Everybody focuses on efficiency, but volume also plays a part. Anderson has nice efficiency but he gave you like 12 ppg, that's nowhere near enough output for a guy making 18M when he max was 25M. 7 three pt attempts is great, but not when you only have 7 attempts in 30 mins and you are an offense only guy providing no defense and rebounding.

I hear you, but again, nobody was paying him 8 or 20M per. Look at who had caproom and what guys are getting paid this summer. The market price is quite clear.

Brooks is better than a grant Williams so 13.5 was his bottom. His market value might’ve been around 15 million. So it’s a slight overpay. Really it’s the years that bothersome more than the salary but overall I’m accepting of it as long as he plays his role to perfection

I am just glad that, except for Brook Lopez we basically got everyone we wanted. Professional NBA coaches with winning track record usually knows basketball better than any of the fans ;)

Ime knows Grant Williams and he chose Brooks over him. Also, the Lakers reportedly were willing to pay him 13. There may have been other teams interested in him as well. He might have been slightly overpaid and hopefully it is front loaded, but acting like this signing was disastrous is very silly.

Nothing is silly in the eye of end results....if the results are good, one can tolerate this overpay otherwise nope....

One team was smart with their money the other was the Rockets. Why sign Brooks for 80 million when KMJ is a significantly better younger player with a brighter future making 2 million a year. Spending another 40 million on Jock Landale and 37 year old Jeff Green is mind boggling. Casino owner put all his chips on Lopez and lost….now the fans suffer because there was no backup plan other than dropping 3 recent first round picks and a star in the making with KMJ for absolutely zippo.

They need a veteran wing to play 28-30 minutes and lead by example all the way to the kids.

No need to overrate Brooks and his 17 FGA on Memphis.

Folks are gonna get triggered that he's gonna play heavy mins and potentially chuck it without care.

He's gonna b the next hated player by forum assuming kpj embraces the 6th man role quietly

I mean one team was. Nobody expected this. Perhaps another team was offering him something similar that we didn't hear about?

I don't really like the signing. But we don't know if we bid against ourselves or if we had to go that high to make sure to get him.

I'm only upset that Brook Lopez supposedly pulled out of a deal with us, that pisses me off, I hate moratoriums/pre negotiating periods, we could have had FVV, Brooks, Lopez, & Green, instead of FVV, Brooks, Landale, & Green, I'm not mad at it, just wish Brook, if true, stayed true to his word.

Thybulle not on Dillion level stop it.
He was a bench guy & played a limited role.
Dillon was the point of attack guy for Memphis & a big reason for their team success & is only 1 season removed from Avg 18PPG.
    Thybulle gives you nothing else

You honestly think he will be chucking with Ime at the helm?
He will get benched quick & I'm sure he knows that.

13 shot attempts per game is hardly chucking that was ranked 58th in league
For context Jabari a rookie had 11 shot attempts per game.

If Houston is sending out three unprotected seconds just to dump Mills, I will be pretty upset. I'm hoping not all of those are coming from Houston, and if they are, that they have some serious protections on them. Three seconds to dump a $6 million expiring contract of a useful player who the Rockets could actually just keep would be a complete train wreck.

It was closer to 14 per game, and he complained that he wasn't getting enough shots publicly, to the media. I would operate under the assumption that he plans to go back to his previous year average, which was over 16 shots per game.

I hope Ime will be able to rein him in, but I would in no way count on it.

True, in comparison...... Jamal Murray historic FGA was 16 per game.

He was what, the fourth option on a stacked Memphis team?

That's it! That's perfect. That should be our team's marketing slogan for 23-24.

    Rockets: Quite Underwhelming

Yeah, gotta admit, over 60 million in cap space and we keep overpaying in cash, players, and draft assets for tier B and C players. Hopefully Stone has something up his sleeve because FA has been a disappointment so far.
