There is a huge difference between "the org put the players in a position that negatively impacted their performance" and "the players missed shots on purpose."

Thunder finished 13th in defensive rating while starting (mostly):

Jaylin Williams, Jalen Williams, SGA, Dort and Giddey. The best shot blocker in this group was SGA (1 bpg). The C's on this team were Jaylin Williams (0.2bpg) and Poku (1.3 bpg but bad interior defense).

We will be a top 15 defense with Jabari, Brooks and FVV starting.

If you hate the team so much why not find another team's forum to troll? Truly, how often do you post anything positive about them unless it's about the Head Case? 3/4 of the team aren't even in to their 3rd season and you're judging like they've reached their ceiling. Funny you never mention how bad your boy was his first couple of years when he was stinking it up. Ask you a question. Do you not realize the whole reason they even let that dude run the point was to tank?

Me pointing out the reality of how hilariously bad the presumptive starting 5 are going to be next season doesn't mean I "hate" the team.

Not everyone is a blind homer or a player first type fan. I know coming from your perspective that's hard to understand.

Sure. I'm not sure what you're referring to? Neither I nor @BasketballMind said they missed shots on purpose.

Regardless of how it happened, unless there was some breakthrough in human psychology I'm unaware of, there's nothing that's going to convince me that the mere switch from "it doesn't matter if we win" to "we must win as many as possible" will not result in more wins via improved defensive and/or offensive efficiency.

He absolutely did say it, he implied it in the post you quoted/agreed with, and then he clarified it in his next post. He thinks the coaches/org ask the players to miss shots and the players miss them on purpose. He also says those who don't agree are idiots -

Oh I didn't quote the post you're talking about. Wasn't in the post I quoted. I don't think coaches/org asks the team to lose, they just allow infinite mistakes to pile up without accountability. That's enough to cause a tank.

This. People need to stop acting like real life basketball is 2K. These guys only have so many opportunities to secure their bag. Imagine believing guys are missing shots on purpose for a team they might not be on next seasons … See JC/Tyty/Nix etc

Besides, what’s FVV and Brooks’s excuse? Man we are all looking for hopium these days …

Kid, the Rockets are the laughing stock of the league right now, I get that you want to spin that into a good thing because you are a hilariously blind homer, but...you know, there are some serious people in the world.

Same old BS from the smartest guy in the room.

Well aware of the league wide perception of the team.

Thx for sharing your expansive knowledge kid.

If you know they are a the laughing stock of the league, why make a spectacle of yourself anytime people are critical of bad moves the team makes?

Again, this comes down to your blind homerism. Not everyone else is going to go along with that and it's not a reason to start throwing tampons and crying.
