I'm confused today. I clearly heard IME say that he wanted shooting and rim protection. We did not address shooting or rim protection in the draft or free agency. Is there any inside information on why? These were clearly Stone moves. I just don't understand why he would go against his new head coach. Can anyone explain this logic to me please?

If the Rockets had not given 4 years, $80 million to Dillon Brooks and found a better way to use that cap space, this would have been a very successful offseason. Adding Dillon Brooks at that contract knocks the grade down significantly.

Having a competent point guard like Fred VanVleet is something the Rockets’ young players have not had the last two seasons, and it will make a big difference for a few reasons. One, it allows the young guys to better fill their roles and focus on what they do well because they have someone that can get them the ball in their preferred spots. Two, the young guys will now have to function in a structured system because they have a point guard that can run such a system. Three, VanVleet has the credibility to hold the young guys accountable for not playing the right way on both ends of the floor.

It seems to me these signings are about unlocking the potential we already possessed. Under Silas we would have never seen Green, J Smith, Sengun, and now Amen, even scratch their potential. All the losing would have gone for naught. Under Ime, and with the additions we made, there's a chance our lottery picks become the All-Stars we hoped for on draft night. What Mills and Brooks lack for in TS% I hope they make up for in improvement of Green, Sengun, Smith, and Amen.

The "culture" was one lacking accountability or leadership from the the coach. Now the "culture" is one with a clear leader that projects confidence, knowledge, and a plan.

And to that, is there a way we could get Silas off the landing page? It makes me sad. :(

Seems to me we can get to 21 million by including Tate and 37 million by including Porter. Trading Porter scares me because he is our best shooter and I like the player but who knows?

I guess it depends on how you see the potentials of these guys. I think TyTy has the potential to challenge KPJ and definitely Nix for PG minutes but he was not given a chance.

Letting go of Garuba and Christopher is somewhat understandable. Both guys were given some chances but not a whole lot. The fact that they would rather give Fernando a starting job than give Garuba more minutes says a lot about their management of young players development in two seasons when winning was not the goal.

I didnt get to see much of TyTy just like everyone else but what I did see of him didnt impress me much at all. Again, I wish him well and I seriously hope he proves me wrong but I dont see him currently as a rotational player in the NBA.

Stone has not even tried to win since Harden left
So that part of the change wasn't hard

Ime aint gonna allow stone tillman load him up with Ls like Silas did
Silas literally sacrificed his whole career for the Rockets tankathon

Stone hasnt tried to win because thats the perfect way to get stuck in purgatory…not good enough to win a championship and not bad enough to get a low pick in the draft that turns into a superstar. I think he actually has done a great job adding young talent to the roster in a short period of time.

See I don't think you needed so much turnover to change the culture, Green and FVV would have probably been enough with Ime.

Although I respect Draymond Green and believe he was the key to the early Warriors titles, I just couldn't do it. Put Curry and even Klay in that category too. Gross.

It will be so much better if we have some success without Warriors traitors . . .
