Rockets deal for Dillon Brooks (4 yrs/$86 million + incentives)

Is this guy considered black? I think he might be faking it. I assume Stone got to the bottom of this before offering him the contract.

I think it is 48 hours last I heard. Given how fast players were being signed it would not be worth making an offer that was sure to be matched.

Outside the antics he's a solid player had a down shooting year but no reason he cant improve with better shot selection which I'm positive Udoka will reign that in.

I just didn't understand the 4 year part for Brooks. Seems kind of long, but I know nothing about the guy. I didn't watch the playoffs, and never care to when the Rockets arent contending.

It’ll be interesting to see the reactions on here when Dillon is out there getting stops on the perimeter and bringing that defensive energy. I guarantee you he won’t be jacking up those same shots you saw in that last series vs LA. Ime not having it and that will be established from day 1 of camp. Dillon is gonna set the tone on defense EVERY night for us and make the young fellas follow along.

 

Groceries are around $300 a week so I guess this contract and Fredderick's ain't that bad.

 

Love spending 80mm for a dinner organizer with terrible shot selection, terrible FG%, and clearly a head case.

 

Problem is, Brooks doesn't like Books as a 3&D specialist....he actively threw a tantrum about that role on a playoff team...you think he's going to accept that role on the worst team in the league?

He sees himself as a superstar central hub of an offense and won't tolerate anything less than 16-17 shots per game.....and we're stuck with him for 4 years since his contract is one of the most laughably untradeable contracts in the NBA right now.
