We did not sign FVV so he can average 25 ppg... I do think we will make a big improvement this upcoming season and FVV will have a lot to do with it.
We’ll be better: 1). Better coach 2). 1 year more of development for our young guys 3). Assuming we get Lopez we will have added one of the best defensive players in NBA, rim-protection and shooting. 4). Floor leadership. We had none last year; now we have FVV. He’ll make everyone better. When I think back on last year’s team, I’m shocked how bad that roster was. I know we were tanking, but we’ve literally avoided putting even a semblance of a roster together for the last couple of years. I don’t care if we swap out starters at every position. The meritocracy we are finally installing will help our young guys get better. We’re gonna see who has heart and who doesn’t.
FVV is not being paid to put up 25/10, the team will be better is he’s got a stat line more like 17/9… he’s here to be a floor captain, organize guys and be a steady hand closing out games

Rockets don't have your back, bro. 3) VanVleet is a slow things down PG, very selective on his passes. Padded his assist stats last year by mainly passing to Poeltl after the trade deadline. 4) VanVleet plays the blame game too often. 5) VanVleet led the league in deflections the last 2 yrs, but that's deceptive. Teams picked on 6'1" VanVleet every play because of the long wingspans of Scottie Barnes, Siakim, Precious, OG, Banton, Boucher, etc. It's like saying you have caught more fish than your neighbor.......but your neighbor goes fishing once a month and you go fishing every day. Yes, if he’s scoring in the mid 20’s it’s because Jalen, Jabari, and Alpi are regressing as scorers. If his assists are 10+ it means Amen isn’t being effective in his minutes and Alpi isn’t getting enough touches in the high post. FVV isn’t coming in to put up big numbers, he’s coming in to be the floor general/closer.
I'm thrilled we didn't get Harden, as is most of the true fan base. I'll take a over priced fvv over a cheap Harden any day. Still don't understand how anyone would want that loser back, I guess stupidity would be a valid reason.
Its very much in play the Rockets could get in the top 4 next year. Look at the western conference. Who are they that much better than?
That goes to show how much hatr3d u have ffor harden. Only a dumba$$ would say they would rather overpay for fvv than sign a cheap harden. It's understandable for folks to not want a max contract harden. But wanting too overpay fvv for over a cheap hof talent that still has something in the tank is just outright stupid.
Green will have a break out season as he breaks out the closet. Will turn into one of the dirtiest, grittiest players of all time like Isaiah Thomas now that his lover has been shipped off (no more easy releases in the locker room) and that built up tension along with Brooks influence on getting the inner bad boy to come out of him.
