Oh it’s ok for everyone to have an opinion. Fans just tend to overvalue players. I don’t mind losing these two because they bring very little value when it comes to W’s right now.

Rockets are probably clearing more space because they have a couple things in the works imo.

This all sounds very...incomplete. Atlanta isn't looking to accept salary right now. They're looking to dump.

It sucks that we just dumped both for nothing. Remembered the day when we were excited on drafting Garuba at 20 as he is a great defender.. And also getting TyTy after moving back twice in the draft.

However, There is just no minutes for both. maybe they will even get less minutes compared to last year if they both stayed. No way TyTy get minutes over FVV, Amen, KPJ, or even Jaygup. For Garuba, I still think Udoka still wants a vet in PF/C after missing out on Lopez.

TyTy didn't perform well when given the chance, although his chance was very limited. It just sucks that TyTy didn't get many chances because Silas priority was Nix, who also got waived for nothing. So so stupid..

 

We may have close to 30M in cap space after that salary dump?

If Brooks is getting the alleged 17M
Who else are we clearing the decks for to give 13M?

Not sure any of the Cs on the market currently are worth that. Interesting to see where this goes

 

Who else do you wanna dump? Our only trade fodder in KJ and Tate? How about Jalen, Sengun, Bari or Tari? Starting to run out of candidates now. They're probably the easiest people to move, TyTy plays the same position as Amen, Garuba is going to struggle to beat out Sengun, Bari and Tari in a frontcourt rotation with a legitimate NBA professional. It's really no big deal, just because somebody was drafted in the 1st round it doesn't make them a golden goose.

Ok folks, this is clearly a precursor to a bigger move. I really don’t understand the panicked reactions on this site. Cap management is a complicated business. Apply Occam’s Razor…the rockets already had $25m in cap space. This move gives us an extra 5. Simplest explanation? Another move is coming that required additional space.

Also, why are people attached to Garuba and TyTy when we already have children named Jabari, Jalen, Sengun, Whitmore, Amen, and Eason (etc)? There’s only one basketball

 

different Coach, different ways to evaluate talent...definitely a salary dump so they can make another move.
