That's probably the worst contract the Rockets have ever signed.

Will help us a lot, we needed a true point

But damn, we sure are putting a lot of players together that can't shoot

He’s a really nice player - wish his 3-point shooting was better… but he’s a team leader who can distribute the ball and score. Excellent defender which is underrated. It’s an overpay but not horribly so… and we are getting better. I’m on board!

If this allowed us to not pick up the kpj option that says 16/year for the last 2 years of this deal

I think it's better than flaming out and getting nothing. We're still well in development territory. Most players hit their prime in their mid 20's, so literally when FVV will be out of here to ring chase and let whoever rose to the top during his tenure to take over. He's a legitimate starting NBA player who's just bought into at least a couple of years of mentoring a bunch of very talented kids who've been losing like crazy. We weren't getting a megastar, would you rather have 3 garbage ass roleplayers who can't teach ****? Come on now, be realistic, we didn't hit the draft jackpot, these kids have all got to grind to make **** happen.

3rd year is not ideal at all but overall fine move. Need to be competent.

He’s a midget point guard about to hit 30. This will age like that Kemba contract.

You sure there wasn't a 4th year stuck in there somewhere?

Of course there will be complaints.. SMH. We HAD to pay up to get him. We are not only paying for his play we are also paying him to set a culture for our young guys going forward. He is a solid PG that will get our young guys playing the right way on the floor. We not paying him to come and avg 25 and be a savior, he will be part of the changes around here. The changes that we sorely NEED.

This makes no sense. We’re not even close to contending and just drafted a PG with the 4th overall pick in the draft. WTF?
