Why in the HELL are we throwing good money after avg and/or below avg players? Kyrie is special but he just does not fit FVV is AVG Dillon Brooks is Below Avg Bruce Brown who just signed...AVG Kyle Kuzma is AVG YOU ALL GET THE POINT! I prefer to sign backup veterans to build up our bench and trade for Clint Capela.
FVV and Brook Lopez are taking legit pitch meetings. So, we're not hearing anything in the first second of free agency. Some of these other guys probably just had their agent send then the highest number and they went with it.
Because the Rockets have $60+ million in cap space, and they literally HAVE to spend it. Its not like they can just let the $60 million roll over to next year. So, sure, they could spend $20M-$40M apiece on your veteran backups, but wouldn't you rather they spend it on quality starters who fill areas of need instead? There are very few star quality players in this free agent class. That's not the Rockets fault.
Someone give Patildo some vitamin C so he can get past his hangover and let him know that free agency has started
I'm at least slightly more optimistic with the Middleton and Poetl signings that Milwaukee and Toronto have slightly less financial flexibility than they had before. Still have no clue about Lopez or FVV, but the fact that it's been an hour and they haven't re-signed gives me hope.
