    In a vacuum it would be James as he’s the best player.

    Unfortunately there are so many different variables that deem your question pointless as James and Kyrie aren’t really targets for anyways.

    But if we're talking making it to the playoffs, it helps if the guy we get plays more than 1/3rd of the games.

    If the contracts were identical and they all wanted to be here, Harden > Kyrie >> FVV.

    Harden's now on a short-term deal, but he'd require giving up assets so that is unattractive for an expiring deal on a guy who obviously has a wandering eye.

    Kyrie wants it all as far as I can tell (money, winning, freedom to be crazy), and we have little the latter two to offer.

    VanVleet is the only one who might actually be swayed to play for a rebuilding team on a short-term deal, so it's very logical that he's our focus.

    Let's be real, any of Kyrie/Harden/Brooks is going to have us slamming our heads into a locker before it's all said and done. Just give me Lopez/FVV.
