Knowing what Udoka is looking for in terms of a playmaker and defender who can play within the flow of his offense, Kyrie just seems like an awful fit. And that's before you factor in all of the outside headaches, the fact that he's going to jack up 20 shots a night and how bad of an influence he could be on the young players. If they weren't seriously considering Harden, why would they seriously consider Kyrie? Kyrie seems like an even worse option than James for what this franchise needs right now.

World B. Flat is going to want way more than 2 years. I'm not sure he is the guy to help train the young guys. He's a better choice than James but I doubt he has any interest in being a mentor on this team.

Our defensive sieve would only worsen.

Good to know. But that should have no impact whatsoever.

Yeah bring in Kyrie and Brooks!

They really want to create a better team culture.

ngl love this dude's games…but his 'chemical stability' in a team is awful.

Incredible talent. Also incredibly stupid. I’d do a 2 year deal if we didn’t have to give anyone up, though.

This would be a true buy-low, value-creating opportunity for an all-NBA first team level talent. I'm open to the dialogue!

Kyrie would take pride and give effort with these kids to get them to the next level or play in

To FVV it’s a money grab

big time, just go watch FVV interviews and most his posts are about the money lol. I get it, he wasn’t suppose to be making this much and he “bet on himself” (his phrase). I just don’t think the guys will gravitate towards him like they would Kyrie.

Forget all the bs Kyrie drama, Udoka around and Jalen who looks up to him like he’s Jordan. I think they can learn a lot from Kyrie in 2 years.

I'll pass and take Van Fleet, Kyrie never elevates a team, only team he won was with Lebron.

This is the guy I have wanted as an upgrade at PG all offseason.

And yes there are major headache/risks.

Forget his spicier takes on politics and race, and really think about Irving the player and teammate.

Kyrie has already been brought to a young and hungry team to provide veteran leadership and championship experience, and that turned into the trainwreck that was Boston. In Brooklyn, he became notorious for taking time off during the season, which turned out to be the breaking point in that big 3. He's shown to be either unwilling or unable to adjust around other star players, in Dallas, the Mavs got worse when he joined.

The man's only won ONE playoff series where he didn't have LeBron or two other MVP winners on the roster.

We're going to see so many of these stories. "Rockets showing interest in X" = "X's agent using Rockets cap space as leverage to jack up contract elsewhere"
