If that video is real, that is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The odds A) that happened, and B) it was being recorded, is crazy...
Hopefully the medical problems are relatively minor. Cam Whitmore is a great get at 20. PP fell to 10 with the Celtics. I'm not saying Cam is as good as him, he does have very good potential though as a wing.
Looking back now I think Whitmore is Def an "Udoka" prospect. Really athletic, powerful slasher with C&S potential pretty similar to Jaylen Brown imo.
Absolutely brilliant of Stone to leak that none of Cam Whitmore’s teammates attended his birthday party…
Sure but it's still crazy on me to pass on him like after 15 or so is his interview really that bad? Like Heat really took some dude projected in the 2nd round over him like damn.
Unless he was legally dead for 13 years there's no logical explanation why he slid down to 20. Unless there's a career ending injury waiting to happen this is ridiculous. I read somewhere that he has thumb injury. The f.king horror! Recovery time of broken thumb is about 4 months, sprained thumb for a month, even if your finger tendones pulled off the bone it takes 2 months to heal. Unless he is missing his thumb this is bs. It's not the injury he probably failed to impress them in workouts.
Sometimes it comes down to just a rumor that starts and gets thrown around for a week or two, and every time it's repeated it's altered to sound more ominous. Last year it was "Tari Eason doesn't have the intelligence to play in the NBA. He can't remember assignments, blad blah..." Besides, who would we take at #20 who was guaranteed to contribute? I'm pretty sure Cam will give us at LEAST a #20 pick's worth of contribution, if not much, much more.
He's also an absolutely horrendous passer, and was easily the most overhyped player of the draft. The injury concerns sounds like GM's letting ignorant fans down easy. It's REALLY hard to fix tunnel vision. It's basically never been done.
