From what I can see from Whitmore, it's not like he has bad biomechanics, runs on his balls, not his heels, lands with both feet, etc. Wonder what torpedoed his stock?
This is where I'm at, NBA teams too woke to laugh at dick jokes from an 18 year old. Sounds like teams started picking him apart vs realizing he's the youngest player in the draft and may still have a few life lessons left. Our gain--GO ROX!
Just some random thoughts, post-draft reflections and some texting with MAJA Mike... Admittedly, I despise Rockets ownership and think Stone is the Walmart Morey. Tilman and son's push for Russ will always be one of the worst trades in Rockets history. But...if Ime can get some of our younger guys playing more efficiently with the veterans on the way, this may work out. It's time for the Rox to compete. The investment in JG's chucking isn't it....give me Monta Ellis if we want a bomber. Houston has young, athletic players but they aren't aware of how many respected vets don't want to play for Houston. The league is big, but not nearly big enough for the Rockets to hide their terrible reputation for being cheap, treating players like trash and being the face of complacency. Carmelo is beloved and told everyone how nasty things went down....and don't even start with MDA. We need a total culture rebuild. Ime has the ability to do that...but he needs a vet to pair the vision. I'm hoping this draft and coaching change starts the true rebuild, but Ime will be the main guy recruiting vets. Green isn't a guy who you can pair with easily, unless you own a nail shop. KPJ could be great, if utilized by his strengths. And the true authentic talent in Alphi has been neglected by the incompetency of Silas and what many of us fear in him being part of a trade. Some Free birds will come for a short contract but this team needs at least one closer. One guy who can take the last shot. A young KLowry or the heart of RonRon. Love the Rockets, hoping for the whisper of PG, a long coveted Toby (and James) and some good guys escaping Chi-Raq. Here's to money being spent wisely.
