Ilgauskas, 7'3" center plus first round draft pick for Dream, if things does'nt work out with CD & Co.'s proposal to keep the Rocket icon. I don't think we can go wrong with the guy. I would like to suggest to you to look up his numbers, before you guys start ripping me out! [IMG]

Ilgauskas has had like 4 foot or leg injuries in the last few seasons and might be forced into early retirement. He also has a very high salary, around 10 million per season I think.

I'd take Sabonis' creeky knees over Ilgauskas' oft-fractured foot any day (except maybe the 2 days per year that Ilgauskas is actually healthy enough to walk on it). Healthy - Ilgauskas is great. But in reality - just too injury prone for my taste.

Ditto, on the salary numbers. He has fractured the same bone on his foot 2 years in a row.

Holy sh*t. How in the hell did he ever get a contract like that?

See, it could be worse. We could have Ilgauskas who is making about 12 million a year sitting on the bench compared to cato who is making 7 million except he doesn't have foot injury and is a little more productive.

Rocketsauce,he had an excellent rookie year for the Cavs, and he has a big upside, works hard, comes out to play in every game.He is a much better player than Cato.
However foot injuries have completely ruined his chances of playing in the NBA.

Great player when healthy, but he breaks his foot every other month.

The trick then would be to figure out if he's going to break his foot in the odd or even months, and then sit him down accordingly.
