I could see it for a consolidation of the second tier guys (KPJ, KMJ, Tate) and lower FRP assets ('23 #20, etc), and absorbing salary. I think I'm in the minority on wanting to see what Ime can do with KMJ though.

 

If West wants the 4th pick, then we shouldn’t even consider trading that pick. Draft Amen or best player available and continue rebuilding.

 

How many f*cking times did I tell Harden's groupies that soon after the playoffs, a bunch of a great players are going to become available just like every summer?

There's always options. All Stars are constantly becoming available. If we don't sign one, then we'll acquire on in trade or sign one next summer. There's no doubt we will have options and we should not be the desperate thirsty ex gf in this situation. We CAN acquire a player who is worth close to the max for 4 consecutive years.

Also very telling: NONE of these teams looking for upgrades are seeking to add Harden. No one values him that way and this is after he won 2 games on his own in the ECF.

This is SUCH an incredible summer for us to have cap space. This would be a stunningly stupid time to piss away that cap space because you're insecure about what's possible with the 5th biggest market, Stone, Udoka, $60m in cap space, future picks and 8 good-great players under 23 years old.

I don't know if any one of these particular rumors is true, but I know I told you Harden is using us and we will have better options. As you can see, the more we wait, the better the options.

Furthermore, if we reserved the cap space and actually spent half a season showing the league how underrated our core is and how we can win half our games with our internal pieces, we would start to garner interest from even better players.

Rockets have been handling things really well this summer other than whoever is the rat in the organization entertaining Harden's interest in a max deal.

I don’t think PG will cost much. The Clippers are 46 mil over the Lux tax. One of their options is not to take Eric Gordon 2023 guarantee money, but his 20 mil salary is not a bad deal. Getting rid of PG’s is a much better option. I think we can have PG for our #20 pick + KMJ

 

If the clips need to dump salary they need to pay us to do so. Giving up an asset like a mid first for a rental isn’t smart in my opinion. To me Paul George makes zero sense on this team.

 

Maybe the Logo wants KPJ.

 

I would do this, but if Portland wants PG and we can somehow help facilitate that I’m all for it, especially if we somehow swap 4th for 3rd.
