He is making max extension money how is that on the cheap? Might as well trade for Kawhi or Ben Simmons.

Zion hasnt shown the work ethic and ambition Embiid has. Zion even botched his own rehab multiple times. Saying he is another Embiid is an insult to Embiid.
. Y'all are delusional. 114 games in 4 yrs is worth a top 4 pick? Wtf are y'all smoking.

No maan. We didn't suffer all these tanking years to trade away our valuable assets and watch him get long time injury for years to come.

The fact they want to trade him for a pick proves that there is something wrong there.

Houston would be great for him. One taste of Landrys and he'll prefer to starve.

    Landry's. Better than Red Lobster.

Read: "We kicked the tires and nobody was willing to give up anything of real value to take on a monster contract for a guy who might play in very few future NBA games"

What about using virtually 90% of your cap space for the next 4 years? Going all in on Zion would be insane.

This is a totally idiotic take. He has played barely over 100 games in 4 years and you want to spend 50m a year for 4 years on the guy? It is beyond dumb, but I’m not worried even Tillman is not that much of an idiot. I with you on getting some vets and ok with trading our picks, but Zion is untouchable. I would trade the #4 and 20 for Ingram though.

A player that has barely played 100 games in 4 seasons is not good.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/in...-including-teaming-damian-lillard-lamelo-ball

    Tim MacMahon:
Charlotte Hornets get: Williamson, Bucks' 2025 first-round pick (if 1-4)
New Orleans Pelicans get: Gordon Hayward, No. 2 pick

    Kevin Pelton:
    Portland Trail Blazers get: Williamson
New Orleans Pelicans get: No. 3 pick, Patty Mills, Royce O'Neale and Dorian Finney-Smith
Brooklyn Nets get: Anfernee Simons and Keon Johnson

    Bobby Marks:
    Detroit Pistons get: Williamson
New Orleans Pelicans get: No. 2 overall pick in 2023 draft, Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Stewart
Charlotte Hornets get: No. 5 and 14

    Dave McMenamin:
Atlanta Hawks get: Williamson, Jaxson Hayes
New Orleans Pelicans get: John Collins, Onyeka Okongwu, 2023 first-round pick, 2024 first-round pick (from SAC)

    Andre’ Snellings:
Philadelphia 76ers get: Williamson ($33M this year), Larry Nance Jr. ($10M this year), Garrett Temple ($5M), Trey Murphy III ($3M)
New Orleans Pelicans get: James Harden (currently $33M before opt out; Harden must agree to sign-and-trade), P.J. Tucker ($10.5M), Mac McClung (qualifying offer), two 2024 second-round picks (76ers' and Knicks' picks)

    _______________

The Pelicans are considering the possibility of dealing Zion Williamson to Charlotte for the No. 2 pick

“Based on what I’m hearing, yes, the Pelicans are legitimately considering… doesn’t mean they would 100 percent do it, but they are considering the prospect of trying to assemble a deal for Charlotte’s No. 2 pick that would feature Zion Williamson.”

basically they only wanted to trade with Charlotte for the #2 pick but they don't have enough to give back in a trade

tl;dr Rockets were NEVER going to get a trade from Pelicans because we don't have what they want

Well, we aren't willing to give up what they want, anyway. "Jalen Green?" "No." "Sengun?" "Eff you." "Okay, thanks."

Zion seems like dumber Dwight. Which is wild.

Well if we can't use it for Zion, or Bridges, then take Whitmore.

In his 4 year career he has only played in 37% of games. Do not want.

The inconvenient truth is that despite the injury risk and the weight and the buxom drama, Zion's predicted # of future NBA all star appearances easily exceeds that of any current Rocket or the 4th pick and maybe even all of them combined.

Young Shaq was so much better than Zion and above all he was healthy most of the time.
