Is this supposed to be some kind of own? 99% of people here would take significantly more money to do the same job somewhere else.
No, it's just unusual that he is so direct and open about it. E.g. most soccer players always talk about "wanting a new challenge", etc., when it's really about the money. Nobody ever says it.
Right on, just as they won't use the word slave anymore but call it debt /employee / contract / actor / voluntary servitude etc
This is going to be an interesting experience... Monty Williams has coached 9 seasons in the NBA. 4 of them with Chris Paul as his PG. In the 5 seasons he coached without Chris Paul as his PG, he has had exactly 1 season of being over .500, and in that season got bounced in the playoffs first round. He had some reasonably talented pieces too. If I'm not mistaken, in his 5 'non-Chris Paul' seasons, his coaching record is 161 - 224 (41.8%) I don't blame him for taking the payday - I admit to being skeptical about it...
Monty's new assistant coaches: Paul Silas' son (Stephen Silas) Doc River's son (Spencer Rivers) Nate McMillan's son (Jamelle McMillan) Other three are: Steve Scalzi, Brian Randle, and Jarrett Jack.
