He has really let himself go, which is saying something because he had already let himself go 5 years ago.
I thought the Twins 1st base coach looked familiar the other night. Turns out it's our old buddy Hank Conger.
Don't see the fascination for Siri. He was hardly an Astro, a flash on our radar, way too emotional and we won the World Series after trading him. He's a nobody in the MLB world and was happy the day he was traded.
This BBS obsesses over the backup catcher, the backup outfielders, and who Dusty starts in the 7-9 spots on a nightly basis. So yes, Jose Siri fits the bill of somebody who would garner this places' fascination... lol.
Siri is fun and paid his dues for years and years to get this chance. I'm happy he is doing well but don't want him over Meyers and Chas.
I don't know if we will see him in a majors anytime but Jon Singleton is having a surprisingly good season at AAA for the Brewers. 19.3% K rate, 17.5% BB rate, 19 extra base hits, including 10 HR in 174 ABs. .259 .387/.489 = .876 OPS No idea how his home park or league trends toward numbers though.
Did you know something nobody else did? Do you work for the Brewers? The timing of this post is Nostradamus-esque.
I want Siri over Murray. If Siri was an Astro, Siri would be on active roster forcing Dusty to play 2 of Meyers, Chas, and Siri almost every game.
Even Drellich ****-talking the Astros again on Twitter regarding Singleton (saying they had “no right to drug test him”… after he predictably failed a drug test)… and trying to plug his failing book at the same time.
It's really too bad MLB tested minor leaguers for weed back when he was a prospect. Things might have turned out different if he didn't miss so much time with suspensions. I'll admit I thought it was pretty funny when he ended his career here with 420 PAs, but I'm glad that he gets a chance to not let that define him.
Thought I would go check on JV The NY scenery not agreeing with him? https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/_/id/6341 2-3 ERA 4.25 WHIP 1.14
