With little to no super stars available in free agency, you sign cam and him and kpj can be the best 1-2 punch off the bench. I could see them competing for 6th man while on the same team. Lopez gives you the interior defense who can shoot the three at the 5 spot. Virtually 0 holes in the rotation

 

I think Pat Bev would be a great influence on the youngsters. Bring him back but big NO to Harden.

Here's the dilemma... you don't bring Harden back you are likely loving #4, #20, some Brooklyn picks, Jalen Green, Martin, and possibly Sengun or Jabari to acquire 2 allstar level guys.

Look what Mitchell, Gobert, old @ss limpy Durant, Harden, and Anthony Davis all got traded for.

Then you're just another good team loke Boston, Philly, etc. that has 2 guys and role players.

If you guaranteed me Harden and a player on his level under 30 and you got to keep assets like the Brooklyn picks or Jalen, then you have a shot at 3 or 4 stars...

 

I would have no problem bringing Bev back I want no part of Harden especially if he wants 4yrs at max dollars. I would rather have 57 yr old CP3 to mentor our young players.

Im on offering Harden 3 years 38 million per. Maybe a partial guarantee of the 3rd year if he was into it. By then (after 24-25) he might be ready tobretire for a 15 million check. Then overpay for Cam Johnson. I think that overpaying him has a high value in upping the value of their assets to us. Dont love tge projected starting lineup at that point D wise but it is a start.

 

So much this. All these "X wants to go back to Houston," "Rockets looking to bring back Y" stories are about the cap space. These guys love the Rockets the way a gold-digger loves a sugar daddy.

They're not even looking to use our cap space to come back, IMO. They're looking to use it to escalate the bidding for their services elsewhere.

 

Maybe all the bullshit about this franchise being so toxic is just that .... bullshit.
