    I'm glad they did it and it was the right thing at the sametime this had very little political cost for them. If the TX legislature actually was close like the US House they might not have been so quick to expel.

    Sure. I also doubt the Democrats would have the moral courage to do the right thing if the stakes were high. But there have been too many times Republicans have circled the wagons for some miscreant when it wouldn't hurt them, or would even help them. Baby steps.
