You’re an idiot if you think Mahomes doesn’t have elite mobility, him and Allen and a young Rodgers are the prototypes for mobility in and out of the pocket.

He's able to engage people, a leadership quality. How teammates are drawn to a QB is yuge, unlike a Jay Cutler.
The haters were making it seem like Stroud was Jameis Winston...'F her right in the P'.
That said, he has to put the work in and he is embracing that.

    Agreed completely.
Did anyone say bad things about his personality or say he did dumb **** like Jameis?

Ok, we've got CJ now, I hope we develop him the right way. Make him earn the starting spot, don't hand it to him. If he needs time on the bench, let him watch, learn and grow.

I know folks will be clamoring to throw him into the fray and learn on the field, but I'd rather let him assimilate at his own pace. If he comes into camp and he's rocking the offense and looks good in PS, then by all means give him the ball and lets roll.

He’s clearly the most talented arm on the roster, I hope he takes the job and run with it.

Hopefully having CJ here will make Mills more aggressive in practice instead of just doing checkdowns and they’ll all push each other to be better.

Competition is good. Don’t know if Mills has that in him or not.

I’m trying to recall the level of excitement we were at after drafting Watson. I seem to remember us all be more excited about him, which is strange because we drafted him at 11, where the consensus all along this offseason was that Young/Stroud were going 1&2. Doesn’t that inherently make Stroud a a more exciting prospect?

I think people are excited, I’m excited to have someone to root for.
I think the hesitation is he would be an outlier, whether you agree with it or not

Mike Lombardi said he heard from sources around the league that Stroud isn’t easy to coach. Seems like an unsubstantiated rumor that Lombardi can’t prove, but can muddy the water on Stroud.

The fact that he called Tank Dell before he was even drafted speaks VOLUMES.

Here is the funny thing about CJ that nobody acknowledges. Had Ohio St’s kicker knocked that ball through and they won after CJ drove them down the field without JSN or Harrison…. He would have been regarded as the number 1 prospect as he had the “championship” pedigree. That’s of course after they would have wiped TCU off the face of the earth.

Instead the kicker missed the kick and the haters have come out and said he “can’t” win the big game.

I didn’t mean that as in I was agreeing with Lombardi, he answered my question about people doubting his character and I meant I can see someone was doing that.

I will be rooting for CJ to do well, and I know it means absolutely nothing, but I was bothered how during his introductory press conference he kept saying hit the nail instead of hit the nail on the head...
