This is not NIL/transfer portal stuff...it doesn't matter where he wants to go But it is nice that people want to be in Htown
The draft, by definition and function, is a way to make players go where they don't necessarily want to go. But FA signings are about choices and opportunities. You are free to go anywhere that wants you. Some of the FA signings which include guaranteed money, but not make the 53 man roster might go to the practice squad. I'm not sure how that operates now with some being "reserved" and some not. I think they expanded the practice squad to 16 this year. I know incorporating the practice squad should give them some protection via the Players Union, even if it is regarded as the weakest of the Sports Unions. It's still better than nothing.
So 3-3 vs the AFC South with a worse squad and the Jags had a piss poor draft? Go bet the Jags to win the AFC South buddy boy. I'd rather take long shot odds at the AFC South with the Texans. I don't have faith in the Jags one bit.
Man, some of y’all get real defensive over realism. Jags have the best coach and QB in the division-right now. I hope that changes
I gave you the realism. The Texans were 3-3 in their division and picked #2 in the draft because we were atrocious. That's an indictment on the division. Add on to the fact they literally filled every need and a plethora of starters last year are now relegated to a backup role because of the additions.
