• Giannis comparing Mobley to Kevin Garnett is an insult to KG. I question Mobley's offensive upside. He has never shot above 70% from the free throw line and lacks soft touch. He isn't great off the dribble and may never be. they all turning on him after voting him a DPOTY finalist LOOOOL
Man there is a genuine avenue where by the end of next season the Rockets will be praised more for their rebuild than the Cavs and be in a better position to contend for the long term. If you told me that a season ago I would not believe it.
The NBA made the regular season fake by allowing teams with losing records into the playoffs. Now teams and players can load manage all they want and it won't cost them much.
Evan Mobley the guy that every one says was way better than Jalen Green! HAHA! He just scored 6 lousy ass points in the playoffs and didn’t play no damn defense again and just lost to the NY Knicks! What a damn overrated ass scrub!!! Hahahahaha I’m so glad we didn’t draft that sorry ass clown! What a Fraud! Hahahah where all the Jalen green haters at??! This scrub is not a damn a unicorn nor is he a top 10 talent lol.
What does it say about the state of defense in the NBA when 2 of the 3 finalist for DPOTY are already eliminated (Mobley and Lopez) and the DPOTY (JJJ) is on the verge of elimination? Just doesn't make sense to build around a player that is a defensive specialist
Mobley is a system guy, he has the right players around him to make him look decent.... but realistically the guy will never lead a team on his own. Taller & better version of Terrence Jones.
The Cavs held the Knicks Offense (one of the very best in the league) to well below their season averages. The Knics were the #3 offense in the league. After this series, they are 12 out of 16. Meanwhile Clevand is 15 out of 16. I don't get how anybody even takes a cursory look at the series and doesn't realize that generating offense was a problem for the Cavaliers way more so than defensive adjustments. It was a rockfight in the mud, but, you know, make shots and it's not as muddy, ratehr than get even muddier and play even slower.
Playoff basketball is what it is - nothing new there. You need guys who can defend, switch AND make shots. You cant load up on specialists and then wonder what happens when you place the scoring burden on 1 or 2 guys.
Sure absolutely. The Cavs rolled out lineups with 3 non shooters bc they gutted their team to get Mitchell. The Knicks - who Stephen A and others were absolutely torching for opting for Brunson and not using the 10th pick (on Jalen Duren, who would've spent the year in Westchester) - meanwhile opted for Brunson, didn't have to trade anything for him, and can make more moves. People should give them some credit.
Brunson has played up to his contract contrary to my opinion on the player for sure. He fits the mold of what wins playoff games. NY as a whole has a complimentary lineup of players who can take turns doing all the things that win high leverage games. I dont think they come out of the East this year, but they play well as a unit and like you said have room to grow.
The NBA playoffs is a dog fight most of the time. Clearly the Cavs front court didn't have the dawwwgs in em compared to the Knicks, and lost the rebounding battle like little puppies when things are physical. Regular season offensive ratings a lot of times don't translate, the offense played between the Rockets and GS in the 2018 playoffs were utter garbage because of how scrappy it got.
2 seven-footers lost a rebounding battle to who? I saw Randle in street clothes. JB needs to get canned. Pisses me off that he still Mchale'ing.
Evan Mobley fans awfully quiet lately… let me remind you dumb asses that Mobley is one sorry ass scrub and he should never be mention next to Jalen Green’s name again lol. Overrated ass scrub who shouldn’t even been a finalist Defensive player of the year Candidate LOL. One of the most lousiest performance in playoff history, even Kwame Brown did better than this clown in the playoffs lol
