If you count Kerr (9 years), there are only 3 out of 30 coaches that last for more than 10 year, let alone 15 years. You can see the likelihood is very low even if you think he is top 5. And it's not just how good the coach is. There are a lot of factors that contribute to whether a coach is being retained or let go. Don't forget we are talking about a guy who just got fired because of off court issues and a front office that is considered a "clown show" around the league.
Eric Spoelstra has been with the Miami Heat for over 15 years straight. He’s one of the best in the game
Another dimension to this that is interesting: in addition to being attractive to free agents, guys like Wemby who Hoping he’ll start with Borrego, who should help our offense.
I echo the sentiments of those who say he is BY FAR the best coach we could have hired. My only concern was that he couldn't change his ways overnight. Let's hope he can. Go Rockets!
Well it's been a whole season lol. It's not like the Rockets scooped him up right after he got fired. Being an NBA player or head coach comes with lots of temptation. They're wanted by women everywhere. It's not that deep.
Finally the Rockets can get Damon Stoudamire!!! I remember that day, excited and disappointed in an hour span. @tinman “Houston was offering Kevin Willis, Mario Elie and a third player -- either Brent Price, Matt Maloney or Emanuel Davis -- and a — draft choice in 1998 for Stoudamire, Walt Williams and Zan Tabak.”
"Overnight", meaning within the context of a lifetime (or however long) of learned/conditioned behavior.
When we start talkin Nigerian cusine on clutchfans? What about the meat pie, puff puff and the Akara? gimme some nigerian side dishes!
I’ve been on the Ime train for a long time. That said, who was the last coach JVG wasn’t positive about???
