I put it in the rockets watch chat that the Tillman I used to know would do it on Sunday. Bout time his ass made an appearance
Well, he did help us tank our way to Green, Smith, and hopefully another Top 3 pick. So I wouldn't say he did nothing to help.
Now we have to bear with some: "he did not have a chance of winning" "they were tanking, it is not his fault" blablabla I say: - Top 4: https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/wh...n-percentage-in-nba-history-minimum-100-games - Non vocal, couldnt control teenagers, and most of all - a LOSER. - The fact that we were intent to lose, makes me wish him all the best moving forward, but not here.
Well deserved firing. He seemed like a great guy, but was clearly in over his head. As others have said, poorly developed young players, didn't hold anyone accountable and the team did not show improved game plan discipline over the years during his tenure. I understand there was a ceiling on this team in terms of W/L, but there are other ways to show competency at your job in a rebuilding situation and Silas completely failed at that. Hoping for any of Nurse, Udoka or Atkinson.
Stephen Silas = Bo Porter Hopefully the same type of dynasty that the Astros are enjoying comes out of this rebuild for the Rockets.
I think it's for the better. For both sides, clearly Silas didn't have the locker room. Can tell the Vet (EG) didn't care to help the young guys.
I hope not, he was one of the few bright spots....he and Craig really clicked after a month or so. DD
We're going to be talking about this today at 11:00am CT. I expect that the official word will be released after the meeting today, as well.
good riddance... maybe next time he will see the bigger picture and not get too wrapped in 'pet projects' like the 'redemption of kpj'... smh... also he needs to get a backbone and learn how to hold guys accountable... the 'buddy' thing can only carry u so far...
Smiley Cylas was a pushover. It was made worse because he had a young team that was developing bad habits.
