you are sooo part of the problem not the solution, soooo biased and sooo wrong you don't even begin to see it, stop derailing this thread and speak on topic! you never engage here in a meaningful debate in a respectful way about the topic of the thread, instead you prefer to write about personal intrigues and call for witch hunting... go learn some basketball and make meaningful contribution to this thread like this one
Shot selection is what makes good players good! Not the crazy athleticism, fancy handles and other circus stuff. IT'S THE SMALL SIMPLE THINGS THAT MATTER THE MOST!
If you have an all-star player and if you can't win that's most likely because of the other pieces you have in your team and not because of the all-star.
Jokic has better playoff record than Embiid and he played with worse players. I lowkey want Jokic or Sabonis to win it all this season and completely destroy that argument. What kills this team every night is subpar perimeter defense. You hear fans saying that every night another random dude goes off against them from behind the arc and it's not FAIR!! Wonder f*cking why.
Sengun only fans and kpj stans use similar arguments. Our offense blows b/c kpj is the point guard. Nah it's not his fault, it's his teammates, man is the best wing/guard on the team. Our defense blows b/c sengun is the center. Nah it's not his fault, it's his teammates on the wing, man is the franchise player First post by coachbadlee In the past 8 games where kpj stans been touting his greatness for being the main reason why we are winning (not tru). Sengun and green have been good defenders while kpj has been a servicable pg (less ball hogging due to injury). I recommend folks watch the video if u have the time or find my tdlr (in the 3/19 pelican game thread). Pretty eye opening stuff.
I don't know how you draw that conclusion out of my post but i neither praised Sengun nor blamed his teammates.
Sure thing, I’ll stop detailing threads with my spammy posts and focus on good basketball talk. I think we’ll get along better that way
It would be much cooler if individuals could support and prop up their favorite players without having to insult and bring other players down.
Sorry but posting a couple clips of guys guarding him close doesn’t paint the full picture of how teams defend him. Most of the time the 5 sags off Sengun and camps in an area. Often times Sengun passes up the 3 and the 5 collapses on the dribble drive man clogging up the paint. There’s reasons players play him close at times to not give him a clear field of view to pass or they want to press etc. As with Valanciunas tonight and Myles Turner and countless times teams don’t guard Sengun beyond the arc. Both you and The guy who made the video are revising a term that simply means forcing and pulling defenses to the 3 point line due to shooting ability. And for bigs this means to play outside of the traditional inside paint role and force defenders to guard away from the paint and defend the outside jumper. Being able to dribble drive has never meant “stretching” the floor. That’s why teams loaded the paint against Westbrook. Jae Sean Tate cannot stretch the floor since like Sengun, he can’t shoot. Garuba has some stretch ability at the corners. Embiid and Jokic are stretch Centers. Not a new concept.
His pnr with Green is so much better than pnr with KPJ which i hate. KPJ really is allergic to assists. Defensively, first half did a pretty good job against JV but JV bullied him in the 2nd half. It turns into man vs. boy due to size differences. His lower body is thick as fuc* but his upper body isn't as strong. Next season i don't want him to get manhandled.
1. Sabonis is the anchor/key to an "historically great offense" 2. Sabonis will be ALL-NBA (behind Jokic and Embiid) 3. Sabonis double-double leader in the nba with 57 4. Sabonis 11 triple-doubles this season 5. Kings team currently 2nd seed. Pacers 11th. On the other hand dont look now but Dammian Lillard is 3rd worst record in the west, embodiment of a superstar and franchise cf is looking for, that can light it up from 3, and basically from anywhere on the court, can fancy dribble and dunk, can score 77 points in a game but is not making his teammates better lololololol There is no substitute for bbiq!
Its really astonishing what they did...no flashy names on that roster...if they were 13rd place now in the west, instead of damian lillard and the blazers, nobody would have been surprised! and vice versa, if damian lillard is 3rd in the west now, everybody would be saying, of course the dude can score 75 points on a good day, he is a killer, he is clutch blah blah blah and this is guards dominated league! and jalen green is a on a right development curve to do the same because in his 2nd year his % were blah blah blah! lololol ps keegan murray at 4 seems to be their highest pick and they consist mostly of rejects and average quality nba players at best lol
Look at that bad "culture" OMG these guys hate each other and are holding themselves back with arrogant and prideful play!! (here come the Silas Sabotagers watch!!)
They're all more or less 20 years old, playing for the same team. How long can we expect them to hold a grudge? (They're cool till the next defensive lapse? Till the next iso? Hehe.)
But isnt the dramatic posturing by the player only cliques trying desperately to keep everyone at odds? That specific poster does his/her/its best to do just that and then they post a vid of all of them vibing? God forbid Silas shows up and starts having a good time too right? Divide and Conquer - a tale as old as time.
