If they played professional basketball between 1985-1997 they were owned by Dream.

And then when you think of a guy they literally referred to as "Mad Max" on the roster, who was charging into stands, swinging on players and fans, and showing up to playoff games late because he was in Jail for an incident in the Luby's parking lot - it's very clear those Rockets teams had a toxic culture. What we really needed was a no nonsense coach like George Karl instead of a pushover like Rudy T who just wanted to be friends with all of the players. I bet Rudy T went to Third Ward with Mad Max to throw dice on the corner just to appease him.

Yes I remember Akeem's hot temper. Calvin Murphy was even worse. But Akeem never punch anyone AFTER he became reacquainted with Islam

Damn I don't think I've seen that one before. Looks like Mr. Cage is lucky Dream took mercy on a downed man. If he was still standing he would've caught another one.

ALSO DAMN they really didn't just kick you out for punching a guy.

They would have if they didn't draft him first overall and didn't reach the Finals in 86', those two feats made him the culture, and when you are the culture you can destroy n rebuild as you please, especially being young and All NBA caliber since day one

Had they got him for like the 60th pick via trade, he would have been released after the first fight
