I’m going to watch him but the only legit nba prospect in the draft is either Wembly or Henderson. The Thompson cannot shoot I’m watching the twins on Prime…those guys could not start for our team and we are the worst team in the league.

Doesn't look like Scoot is playing.

He's not. I think he had an ankle issue or something.

I really hope we get a top two pick. Would be really excited about either player. PG is our biggest need.

    Fit wise; sure a Henderson.

If worst record, yes, 27.4% of landing a first or second pick. But few people mention that Rockets has 47.9% of getting the 5th pick.

    1 - 14.0%
    2 - 13.4%
    3 - 12.7%
    4 - 12.0%
    5 - 47.9%

The Rockets is most likely to get the 5th than any other individual top 4 pick.

    It's almost a coin flip of getting a 5th versus a non-5th.

Sure being worst bottom record has better 'worst case scenario' than 2nd worst or 3rd worst team, but the 5th pick is a very likely scenario for us. For those of us spinning Tankathon daily, you know 5th turns up a lot.

For fans, it's out of our control, nothing to do but hope for a top 2. But Stone and his new coach need to figure out how to maximize the growth of his current players for future core and trade pieces. Just banking a lottery home run would be irresponsible.

Looking at the standings, I doubt the Rockets finish with the worst record in the league. Detroit is straight sewer trash led by an iffy Jaden Ivey, they’ve turned on full tank mode since Cade went down they’re only half a game behind us. The real threat for the #1 pick is San Antonio, they’ve just given up this year, dropping 10 straight to get to one game behind the top spot.

There’s a reason no team ever finished last 3 years in a row, there’s simply too much talent to really go fo for a 16-66 record

Brooklyn needs to fire up the tank. Their season is over and this is one of the seasons they actually get a pick from us. They get a Top 6-7 pick and our Wemby/Scoot odds would go up tremendously.

In terms of the odds of getting Wemby or Scoot it doesn't matter as long as we fall into the bottom 3. Same odds of getting #1-4 picks for all three teams. And we've already pretty much done the "work" of landing in the bottom 3.

Unfortunately, many of us are all too familiar with the lottery odds of the worst record in the league at this point. The essentially coin flip odds of keeping our own pick in 2021 stressed me out to no end.

I'm going to say that the #1 pick will go to one of the bottom 3 teams. Giving the same odds for each that's 33.3% chance.

    2022 - Orlando 2nd worst record
    2021 - Detroit 2nd worst record
    2020 - Minnesota 3rd worst record
2019 - New Orleans beat the odds with 33 wins to get the #1

I still feel it's the year for the worst team to get the #1 pick. NBA needs it to happen.

Not saying probability in real terms, I'm saying in NBA fixing terms.

If we dont get scoot, we should go after Fred Vanvleet in the free agency.
