If I were Houston I would turn Ego and maybe a Josh Cristopher + a Nets future first back + a Houston pick in 2028 for Bridges. Him plus either Wemby+any pg (not KPJ) or Scoot is a real team.
It's actually brilliant and nuts at the same time. You provide the team with D and playmaking. The downside is this guy is nuts so a No.
Honestly just trade Gordon for Saric. I don't even need the pick back anymore just garner some good will before we enter free agency with cap space.
Has there ever been a worse package given for one of the best superstars in the league in his prime? Like damn that aint even half of what Minny paid for Gobert.
At least this trade rekindles my interest in watching a couple of playoff games (though i know refs' whistles most possibly biased key moments n key games).
Finally, they did it!! Amazing Nets got a solid young core and those picks will pay off. Suns window is very small w/ injury and age concerns for both KD & CP3. Best news is that our picks will be more valuable and maybe we can entice the Nets to get back their own picks for those Suns ones, with some solid veteran / young guy coming our way. Draft night trade with Brooklyn picks are also not out of the question.
Brooklyn didn't get any stars with these 2 trades, but they still have a lot of good players. Not enough to actually compete for a deep playoff run, but enough to keep our picks from being great.
At this point I'm alright with Gordon being bought out and letting him go to Phoenix. Feel like we owe him and CP3 that at this point.
If the Nets are smart they'll use one of those picks they got and attach it to a young player someone wants to get rid of SImmons' contract. Something like: LeVert, Love, and Windler (all expiring) + a 2nd for Simmons, Bridges, and a 1st. Depending on how much you value Bridges, you might not need to spend a first. Cleveland doesn't need Simmons but Bridges would be ideal for them.
