What happened to being a player friendly organization that doesn't treat everyone like an asset and nothing else??

I thought we were out to change that perception ....

Things are different this time. He didn’t want to get traded before. But now he does. So I doubt he’ll get another one of those mysterious injuries.

Isn't it a good thing that other teams want him? That means he has good trade value. The more teams value your players, the more leverage you have in trade talks.

You just tell whoever asks for him, "Sengun (or any other player you really value) is off the table. Who else are you interested in?"
Simple. I guess you could add, "Are you nuts? No way!"

I will definitely be angry if we passed up on late 1st rounders for him only to buy him out. Hell, take the four second round picks that Milwaukee offered.

What kind of trash are they sending to match salaries? Allen, Ingles, and Hill. Allen has another year. That would suck.

    Sources: Eric Gordon seeking buyout...

Lol ... wouldn't this be an obvious move from him?
    1. His last year isn't guaranteed. (according to Basketball Reference)
    2. Flash doesn't have any say so on where he gets traded. (Siberia)
    3. His fun meter is down to zero. :)()

All signs for seeking a potential buyout....

As to why Sly and the Rockets still want to hang onto him ... they're hoping that a team that's in cap hell will step up to the plate and see an exit door to financial relief and offer more than throw away 2nd rounders! Not saying that its going to happen, but that's what they're doubling down on.

Yeah. One more reason they should have traded him last year. If we took a guy whose salary ended at the end of this season it wouldn't be a big deal.

How that work out last year when we didn’t trade EG … a team can stand and be like we want JC included or no trade and then boom we stuck with buying out EG

Stone has a arrogance to him - saying Nix top tier talent , and KPJ who he wants to be his Harden moment robbing Clev … he’s in Morey shadow so he trying to prove he’s just as good

That has nothing to do with hiding or not hiding your players. It's 100% trade negotiation skill. It's always good to have a chip the other guy wants. No?

Morey was able to trade for Harden without giving up Maxey. You think the Nets didn't know the value of Maxey and never thought to demand including him in the deal? It's about how you use the leverage to get as much as you can get in return.

TBH, if the other team wanted us to throw in Christopher in a EG trade in order to give a FRP, I'd do it in a heart beat (with all due respect to @Williamson ;)).

Kevin Pelton: At the risk of stating the obvious, the Phoenix Suns have to find a deal for Jae Crowder, who hasn't played all season while away from the team. Phoenix appears to have weathered the worst of the injuries that cratered depth in early January, but with Chris Paul's age and Cameron Payne still sidelined, more guard depth would be helpful. And the Suns should at least explore a bigger deal to add a difference-maker with no clear favorite in the West.

The only deal I see out there is the PHX - Milwaukee one where the Rockets end up with Allen and Saric but I'm not sold that deal makes either of the other teams better.

That deal wasn't on the table last year and the only reason it is now is because Crowder refuses to play for the Suns.

Last year talks were of EG going to Philly but no one paid attention to the fact that to make the money work, the 6ers had to send 5 players out in return - That didn't make them better.

EG's contract, while not a terrible one puts him in an odd place between the NT-MLE and max players.

They had to be signed to either cap space or as resigning FA's with their own teams exceeding the cap to sign them. Both fairly rare occurrences.
There just aren't a whole lot of players who make that kind of money and it makes trading them difficult.
It takes two MLE contracts to match his salary - what team has two of them to package for EG where they actually get better?

Don't be. We likely never had an offer for a 1st.

Why do you think we are a "shitshow of a franchise?"

Who thinks we are a "shitshow of a franchise?" Besides the bitter folks here.
