Both of these things can be true. On paper (based on picks, size of the market, resources, cap space) the Texans should be the top job available by far. But because of their clown show front office and ownership issues, and overall embarrassing track records/history, they aren't. There's still a chance this could all fall apart.... Ryans decides not to come here, all the other semi-decent candidates either go elsewhere or have the same concerns Ryans has... and then they're left with the same predicament that apparently they were in the last two years. Pep Hamilton, come on down...
They are the worst organization in sports. I saw castoff Matt Scharping starting for the Bengals OL in a strong playoff performance. Amazing how guys seem to play better when they are no longer Texans. Hopefully Cal understands how much he and management has screwed up since that last playoff loss and is willing to clean house with the coaching staff and allow Demeco to bring in his guys and run it his way. With all that cap space and draft picks it should be a quick turnaround.
This is who I think of the most when I see us targeting Demeco. Fred Warner has given him most of the credit from the start.
That hasn't changed until it's changed. They haven't hired or drafted anyone yet. I still fully expect them to f*** this up. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they don't...but I'm not coming back into the fold just because they made what is perceived to be one good move. There's a lot more that has to happen.
Wrote it over the weekend and talked about it on 610 this morning. No inside info at all and even said he doesn’t think Kubiak would take an offer.

Man, I hope there is a handshake deal in place. If the 49's make it to the superbowl gonna be a lot of folks on here that need to be pushed back from the ledge pulling hair out waiting
