39% from 3 on almost 14 attempts a game with like 80% of those attempts self-created off the dribble is absolutely insane tbh, from the start of the unguardable tour to his hamstring issues in BK, it looked like Harden had mastered basketball on offense teams doubling him at halfcourt from the opening tip...playing him from behind he literally spent the whole offseason doing bullsh*t, getting out of shape, and chilling at Turkey Leg Hut while missing most of training camp and half the preseaon, then shows up game 1 of the regular season in Portland with a garbage roster and drops 44 and 17 it seemed like he could have a 5 course meal and some drinks, then just show up at the arena 30 minutes later and drop 50
James Harden in the regular season was extremely efficient and always one of the top players so being called a James Harden is actually a great compliment. Harden broke records in bith usage and efficiency so he was extremely good during the regular season. Where Doncic and Harden differ is in the playoffs where Doncic already showed hiw clutch he is while Harden has a history of flopping badly even against low tier opponents like Spurs without Kawhi, getting completely shut down by a rookie Lou Dort and of course being part of that 0-27 threes debacle.
TS% is fan favourite when you are talking about someone who gets a lot to the line or a center (and has a good FT% of course) PHX fans used it a lot in Ayton's rookie season when they wanted to show he is better than Luka and deserved to go first. They got their answer in last year's playoffs.
Harden gets 10+ FTAs in all his HOU seasons except one "Refs are not on his side" Not sure if trolling or serious. Luka had 2 seasons of 7 FTAs prior to this one, and like Jokić, got clubbered once he got inside because opponents knew refs will often swallow his whistle. Btw, it's true Harden didn't get all the calls he should get. But he also got a decent amount of calls he shouldn't get. I'm astonished I have to spell that out to someone on clutchfans forum...
That's also what he has with Luka in common...bad shape/conditioning over the summer, mastering the offense and manipulating the defenses, being the most doubled guy in the league. Last season, Luka showed up completely out of shape and lost MVP votes because of "bad start", which was 26/8/8 on solid TS%. He had a better start to the season than Embiid, who was considered to be Top 3 MVP candidate by season's end. These MVP narratives are sometimes laughable. Westbrook getting one because of his triple double season, while Harden with a better record and only 2 rebounds less per game can't win it.
Sorry man, but you're such an awful poster...look up again what CONTEXT means, because you never give one. You just take what you want out of context to justify whatever narrative you want to follow. Refs weren't AGAINST Houston. They were FOR Warriors. Because if you want to follow your logic, then refs were against all GSW's playoff opponents? No, they just let GSW get away with moving screens and other very risky stuff GSW employed. Also, refs wanted to emphasize non-calls against Rockets and Harden after giving Harden all the calls in regular season. Try harder next time.
7,6,1,0 WTF are those numbers? Those are the numbers of times James Harden, Shaq, Kobe and LeBron have led the league in FTA’s. You were saying?
Harden this season averages 11.1 APG on 3.5 TOs - elite playmaker. Luka isn't bad either (8.8 APG on 3.7 TOs).
People pointing out that Doncic needs more help....no superstar wants to watch Doncic dribble the ball out of the air every possession and stand in the corner waiting for a pass.
it really is a shame he didnt win a championship here. damn warriors, cp3's hamstring, and missed 3s.
