    It's brushed under the rug or downplayed. It almost took my life after getting out of the military. I was lucky to have a loving women by my side to give me the the support I needed. Unfortunately not everyone is that lucky. I wonder if the NBA has any programs for ex ballers. I hope so.

    It really is a shame that it’s socially acceptable to use the drug as a crutch and self medication, while it’s still not completely acceptable to seek mental health support.

    Hope you are right and the league has a good program for former players.
