I can't stop reading all the loser teams reddit posts... They are legit mad we are soo dominant and good, I love it....
Let me "shout out to" Jeremy Pena style: Shout out to the national media for being down on this juggernaut of a team because we did not have Correa anymore. Your bailout reason for not choosing these champion Houston Astros.
I remember when Jeremy Pena was drafted by the Astros. A lot of snickers from supposed draft experts claiming he was a future reserve middle infielder and the Astros were the only team that were high on him. Astros at the time felt he played the right way, busted his ass and there was something different about him. He transformed his body, worked non stop on his swing. Replaced a future Hall of Famer at SS…. Wins a Gold Glove as a rookie, has a 5 WAR season… ALCS MVP…. WS MVP… champion. Not bad for a kid with “Joan” as his middle name.
Can you imagine next year? Altuve Pena Yordan Bregman Tucker J. Abreu Brantley Centerfield ??? Maldonado
Been a reader of this site for a while. In the last year I have participated a little more. And I just couldn't be happier to be around this group during this time (sans the negativity in the game threads lol). So thanks to the Astros for a great season. Thanks to @Nook for all the inside scoops, I love your posts. Thanks to @Snake Diggit and @tellitlikeitis as well as the many other contributors in the Milb and draft threads. This was the first year I paid attention to the draft, and it's because of the posters here. Thanks for @bobrek for keeping things in order. I appreciate the facts, and you have me looking up stuff now every time when somebody starts a sentence off with "It feels like..." Thanks to all the regular posters in here who help contribute to good conversation. Many of you have forgotten more baseball than I've experienced, so I have learned a lot here. I've got way more into advanced stats and have learned more about baseball this year than at any other time in my life. So thanks to everyone here who allows this site to succeed.... And I've been an Astros fan since I was a kid in the 80's, and after tonight, I think I've come to the realization that might be my best life decision ever! Let's go, Stros!!!! PS: Congrats on the newborn @RKREBORN that must have been one great night. Hope you and your family are doing great tonight!!
Forgot Javier being part of 2 no hitters in the most hostile stadiums in the MLB with one being in the WS. That F'ing unreal

As of today: Yordan - 25 years old Pena - 25 Bregman - 28 Valdez - 28 Tucker - 25 McCullers - 29 McCormick - 27 Meyers - 26 Abreu - 25 Javier - 25 Maton - 29 Garcia - 25 Urquidy - 27 Hensley - 26 Dubon - 28 Upcoming possibilities Hunter Brown - 24 Yainer Diaz - 24 Korey Lee - 24 World Series are hard to win, and the Astros might not win another one (I pray they do)...but they certainly aren't going anywhere for a while.
