The combined no-no, from the perspective of the individual accomplishment for a pitcher, is not that big of a deal, BUT from the perspective of the team that got no-hit, in their own stadium, in the ****ing World Series, it’s a huge ****ing deal! When someone googles how many teams have been no-hit in a WS game, the answer will have a short list of 2 now. It was 1 a day ago. That matters!
Impressive even more since it was on the road against the hottest team who at that point was undefeated at home and averaging 7 runs a game.
Just ask how many World Series Multi pitcher no hitters there have been in the WS. ONE yesterday. Single pitcher no hitters? ONE in 1956. So statistically there is no difference.
I'm honestly okay with some of the details of the pitches etc because it is really cool to learn the inner thinkings of a pitcher. At the same time we don't need it for every damn batter and ever damn pitch. It's like there can't be a moment of silence between a pitch. It's just one long rant pitch after pitch.
I'm pretty sure it either has or came close. Though I may be remembering consecutive starts by a single pitcher.
