Stephen Silas seems to genuinely be one of the nicest dudes in the NBA. That’s why I want him to succeed with the Rockets, we need more people like him out there. Even though I’ve doubted him at times, I’ve always rooted for him and will continue to do so
He's a smart coach and is highly respected around the league. Our players just gotta mature, grow and start to close out games.
Ever since @Nook said Silas took credit for Jalen's improvement, I'm skeptical about his authenticity haha I'm sure he had at least a lot to do with KPJ though. Great job by Rockets staff. It's so common for people to want to waive or trade a player just because they haven't learned how to self-motivate yet and that scares coaches who are not good at that. The Rockets rolled up their sleeves and actually did their player development job without ignoring mental well-being and development. We will likely get an excellent asset out of it. If not, the risk is minor and the timing (rebuilding window) is perfect.
didnt watch dont care.... coach that rewards players by playing them less minutes and playing your best player 6 minutes a night, pulling him out of the game to avoid beating ruling champs...denying his rook ROY honors....ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER
Why does Silas get so emotional for only KPJ? I still remember when Silas ran and hugged KPJ after he hit a last second shot. KPJ the son Silas never had confirmed. Anyway nice moment.
I got a bit emotional too. This team is a family. Give them time to grow together and they'll be something special.
