TBF, I’ve thought Eric Gordon was ‘staying until the deadline’ like three seasons in a row. At this point we’ll probably extend him, lol.
Guys, KJ can't be a dependable defender at PF, not name as small ball center. His natural spot should be SF. That's the only position where he can become a winning impact player.
A gentle reminder to all those who are down on Garry Mathews has yet to post a sub-60% TS season, despite the shooting slumps that seemingly consume his entire image amongst a great portion of our fan base. This is a guy who hits deep, tough and quick-release three's on a hinkie special vet min deal and I will not stand any slander. That comment is not to tear down KJ either, who's also very efficient, which is especially impressive for such a young player on terrible and turbulent teams. KJ and Gary are both really good depth pieces for our squad, long live their tenures as Rockets
Honestly I think this is wishful thinking. We tried putting Tate purely as the point forward last year and it did not go well in my opinion. I think he can handle the ball just not as a pg
We have 4 guards, we can always have one of them bring the ball up...if Nix or TyTy won't cut it. Jalen KPJ Gordon Christopher DD
Martin needs to start. Drive up the trade value or figure out what he can be for our future. I like Gordon as SF otherwise but finding about KMJ should take precedent.
Why would outplaying your draft class look good to a GM? What does that do for the GM and his team? If the draft class is not great, why would a GM care if he has outplayed the other guys who could not stick? Minutes played don't mean jack especially on a team that was actively trying to tank, just because you played a lot of minutes will not factor into a competent GM equation, why would it? Go ahead and start the poll the way you word it, should be very interesting.
Not worth it man, I'll concede to you. KJM is an asset that has appreciated from it's original value of 54th pick. To trade him for equal value would be foolish. Let's agree to disagree.
He has improved his handle, although he looked rusty in the pre-season game, understandably so. Still I'd rather him bring the ball up than KJM who's a better C&S guy.
KJ taking another step so far this young season, fitting in with the roster, being used better, looking like a core piece and open to an extension. It's bizarre to me how many people looked at what this young man had done and thought there was nothing there.
KJM, EG and a 2nd round pick should be offered for a good PG on a 2 Yr contract. This is the only way to move EG.
I'd prefer we keep him. He's showing more potential than a lot of our other youngsters. I'd put more money on KJ being a legit starter than Christopher, Garuba, TyTy or Nix. At worst he's instant energy of the bench. His shooting's massively improved. I'd keep him for sure tbh, if he continues to shoot better and better he could easily play as a backup for any of the 2-4 slots. And as much as people say athleticism doesn't matter, you don't see leapers like him every day.
