it's contextual. Both sides are willing to kill bystanders for their personal gain. Alicent literally made a pact with essentially a hired hitman to use his services in the near future. The difference is Rhaenyra doesn't judge personal character and their morality based on trivial things.
I meant to post this last week but it still holds true... Damn, that Rhaenrys is Florida hillbilly trashy. Really hard to root for her. She just ***** on everything not out of insanity but entitlement. I don't like the old queen (too shrill), but I would root for Alicent if they had kept the younger looking one. Because Dragons.
oh shiii... rhaenyra finna hook up with gordon ramsey finally? bout time. the incest story continues... lannisters 172 years later: hold my sword.
That was definitely the darkest episode. Could hardly see anything. Ironically, it was directed by the same guy who did that dark episode of GoT.
Yeah, these "night" scenes that are filmed in the middle of the day look like ****. https://www.vulture.com/article/why-house-of-the-dragon-episode-7-driftmark-was-so-dark.html
I've seen those complaining about the darkness but we didn't have any issue in viewing the action.....
I watched it on my laptop. Since I wasn't plugged in, my laptop settings automatically adjust screen brightness to optimize battery life. My screen was flickering like crazy because of the darkness and one fire lighting the scene.
yall know why the change of actors? rhae bae’s husband got changed after just 1 episode. i need to know this
I really didn't expect much, but this series is pretty much knocking it out of the park. Another amazing episode last night
Agreed, next episode is the 9th of the season and after what happened last night I'm expecting things are going to start flying off the handle.....
Great episode. Spoiler One case of deathbed mistaken identity and the course of history is going to be whack.
I just reread Fire and Blood and that part was not in there. I think the show runners are working hard to make Alicent and Rhaenyra equally likeable. Despite all the time jumps there is a lot of meat on the bones for the Dance of the Dragons. And a lot of crazy stuff is on the way! I wouldn’t mind seeing the series go further than the book all the way to the Mad King.
It was smart of GRRM to have "Fire and Blood" be from the perspective of unreliable narrators, that way you could create a framework that could be changed for a TV series as needed. Almost all of the major things will happen, but how and why they happen can be whatever you want them to be.
That scene with Viserys walking into the throne room was one of the strongest so far this season. Say what you will about him but he’s one resilient SOB.
